Good day, fellow uke-lover!
I'm hard at work, watching the Boy (he’s 10) sit with an iPad, fooling around with GarageBand, which is Apple’s music recording-creating-looping-sampling music thingy.
Now I’ve had the iPad for two years, and a version of GarageBand for at least five.
And in a single morning, the Boy is 20 times better at making music with it than I am.
The reason?
He’s got nothing better to do.
He’s totally focused on it, he’s having a blast, and he’s not worried about getting it “right,” he’s just putting in time and trying things out.
As adults, we don’t have too many uninterrupted mornings.
But can you find 15 minutes to noodle on your uke today?
A few mornings like that, you’ll not only be better on your uke, but you might feel a little better about everything.
your ever-lovin’,
