Ukulele lovers: how to get my attention

When you’re looking for ukulele help, you’ve got to find a source that’s a good match for you, someone whose presentation you enjoy while still giving you the info that you need.

Well, here's a dandy way to start the day. Got this email from a uke lover who bought one of my courses:

Danno,

Just finished the “Defeat the E” course. Excellent…left me hungry for more.

Your skill and caring is made all the more evident through your brilliant humor (to me, the best teacher). Einstein also said that if you cannot clearly articulate a complicated subject matter to someone, then you don't fully understand it (how many of those teachers have we all had?). I guess this now puts you in his company?

Thanks for cranking out this stuff. Please keep it flowing.

– Clark

OK, I'm adding that to the business card: The Einstein of Ukulele.

You know, as ukulele players, we live in wonderful times. There is so much MORE instructional info available to us now than any time since the 1920s.

And in the 1920s, is was all ukulele instruction BOOKS (of course), and, honestly, as charming as some of them are, I've never seen a very good “how-to” book from back then.

Today we have easy, instant access to ukulele instruction VIDEO, and as a learning method, it beats books in almost every way.

(It even beats live instruction with a ukulele teacher in many ways, but that's another email).

When you're looking for ukulele help, you've got to find a source that's a good match for you, someone whose presentation you enjoy while still giving you the info that you need.

Our friend Clark likes Einstein, genius, humor, affability, and mad skillz. And I guess that's why he likes me…

Now, if you like-a me like I like-a you, you can give “Defeat the E” a try, here. It's a quick and easy video mini-course to help you master the uke's most hated chord.

All I ask is that you send me a note and let me know how you like it. Preferably using an even more superlative superlative than “Einstein of the Ukulele.”

your pal,
Danno
